MindMate Champions

What is MindMate Champion Status?

MindMate Champions is the second phase of the programme, in which you conduct an evidence-based intervention and demonstrate its impact.

You must have already been validated as MindMate Friendly before starting this process, meaning your school or setting has passed a MindMate Friendly or Healthy Schools assessment. If you’re unsure as to whether your school has been awarded MindMate Friendly status, please email us for confirmation.

Achieving MindMate Friendly status means you have ensured that your school or setting has a whole-school approach to Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH), so congratulations for all your efforts thus far! The journey to MindMate Champions is for schools and colleges only, and gives your setting the chance to expand upon a particular focus area, capturing, through a case study document, the impact and difference made, and evidencing successful outcome(s) from interventions. Please note, you can only view and download the case study document once you have logged in.

The case study document is a reflection tool that has been designed to including the relevant context, measurement, actions, outcomes, reflections and next steps. A key part of the case study is capturing baseline and follow-up data to demonstrate the difference made, and the My Health, My School Survey is a great tool to help you generate and analyse this information.

Support with completing the case study is available from your Healthy Schools consultant, or by attending one of our Healthy Schools and MindMate Champions briefings.
