What is the MindMate Friendly programme?
The MindMate Friendly programme is designed to promote and develop a whole school and setting approach to Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH).
To gain MindMate Friendly status, schools and setting, are required to complete an online self-review tool. The online tool covers 10 strands:
- Leadership
- Policy
- Curriculum
- Teaching & Learning
- Assessment
- Pupil Voice
- Support Services
- Professional Development
- Partnerships
- Ethos
Schools and settings are encouraged to take a whole school/setting approach in order to:
- Develop an ethos and environment that supports learning and promotes the mental health and wellbeing of all.
- Engage, consult and encourage participation of all within the school community.
- Create an extremely effective school improvement mechanism which brings about and embeds cultural and behavioural change in schools/settings.
If you are currently logged in, you can download the MindMate Friendly guidance document which goes through the process in more detail for schools and colleges.
If you are a school or setting and need any additional support, please email us.
